I'm using my Asus P6T Deluxe v2 motherboard on my Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. In device manager for my on-board ethernet controller (Marvell Yukon 88E8056 PCI-E) I've unmarked "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". But when I restart my computer this option is marked again. Asus driver is installed.

Does anybody know why?

Do you have that option ticked in a seperate Power Plan, so that it's not enabled on boot? I.E. have it marked in the Power Saving plan but not the normal Balanced plan, or the plan for running off battery power if you're in a laptop (which wouldn't be applicable in a desktop but sometimes shows up for the hell of it for some reason).

Nope. If you feel like it though, boot into safe mode with networking. Then uncheck it and reboot. Maybe the setting will save like that.

I'll try safe mode.
I'm running a desktop environment and high performance plan is selected.

I've booted my desktop in safe mode, changing the option, reboot in safe mode, verifying that the option is still unchecked. Thats fine!
But after boot in normal mode, the option is marked again. Therefore I think that some (driver) software is changing this. Does someone has a clue?

No, I don't think the driver is changing since it kept in safe mode. It is a component of Windows normal mode that's changing it, whether it's Windows itself or a program you have installed.

Do you have any Asus utilities set to startup at boot?

Well, I've trying to disable some startup programs - but that don't work. AsusUpdater and AI Suite is installed - but I don't that they start on startup.

I've booted in Safe Mode, unchecking the option and shutdown the computer from safe mode. After this, I still cannot wake on lan after 10-15 minuttes after shutdown - which is my problem.

Does someone know why?
