I am having an issue with my VPN. When I am connected on the network at work I can access the shared drive not problem. At home though, when I am connected to the VPN, it will not display this folder. Everything comes up like it loaded but just no folders.

I am however able to access other shared drives.

So the share folder is connected but no contents from within? Have you tried putting files into just to test if you can write to the share?

I didn't have permission. It connected just fine using the IP address but a no-go with the name.

I'm confused.

When you connect via VPN, you can see network shares all but one. Is that correct? The one you can see doesn't allow you to view the contents? And when you tried to move a file into this share, you get permission error?

Sorry it sounds so confusing. Let me try and simplfy this. I have 4 mapped drives right now. Each is it's own folder on a shared drive. I can view all 4 folders when I am directly connected to the network from in the office. When I go home and connect to the VPN, I can only seem 3 of the 4. The one not showing will load but display with no folders and I cannot write anything to it.

That's very strange indeed, if all four mapped drives are off the same network and you are able to see and write to one you should be able to do for all.

Are theys mapped drive/shares you personally created or do they get made by an admin at your work.

All i can think of is the permission on that problematic share is not correct or you have not been given the rights to "modify" it. If you are not the creator ask for an admin's assistance to double check things.
