I don't know how to remove it. But my network icon it's always with the RED X, like it has one error. And it does not appear to have any.

I'm fully connected. No errors on that.

The networks I have on my system

The one I'm using and the other one disabled. I don't know why the X red is there.

Any help?
Thanks.

I will edit/hack the icon? Really?

But what make the X appear? Is there something wrong on my system?

You need not to edit it right now ... just want to see if the icons are proper place at first. If they are at their proper place, we are to search for alternatives .

X marked one is another icon ... a few above in the row.

So icons are right place.

Do you have multiple connections? What is the connection type ... wireless most probably ? Coz, the wired connection is not connected as shown.

If it is the situation, disabling the wired connection may work.

Otherwise, you may opt for installing the network drivers again.

Do you think the red X may be for the Bluetooth you have disabled?

If Archie's suggestion to reinstall the Ethernet driver doesn't help, then run SFC -SCANNOW Command since a System file is apparently malfunctioning.

To reinstall the driver, double click on Device in Dev Manager, from Driver tab select Uninstall driver, but leave Software in place. Reboot to reinstall.

What motherboard do you have? Some of them come with two built-in NICs and if you don't disable the unused one in the BIOS you'll get a notice that it's not connected. (Which it isn't.)

Hello, thank you for the replies :)

@essenbe, It was enabled before and the X was there, I disabled thinking that this was the error, but the X continues. Enabling o disabling does not change it.

@gregrocker, I tried SFC and "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations."
I will try to reinstall the driver now.

@profdlp, my motherboard is one ASUS P5G41T-M LX2, there's only one NIC on it, and it's the one I'm using :)

I saw that post too, going to try this, I have the BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack installed, maybe this is the problem.
Going to check it too.

It's from the 'BlueSoleil Bluetooth', I don't used, that's why I disabled it.
