Network Magic no longer working- need another safe program.

Hi...
network magic is no longer working for me and people who have it.. do you
know of another program like network magic that I could download on to my
computer.

one night last week it just stopped working poof gone...

I am windows 7 but used it with XP as well....

I have used Network Magic for about 7-8 years to connect me to other computers
and printers in my house and was able to do a repair connection to internet when
it went down.

I really need another program. a safe one too

any ideas.

What version are you using?

I have Network Magic 5.5 and has some trouble getting it activated the last time I did a reinstall and used the information below to contact them got it straightened out, give them a call you have nothing to lose.

Ok I will try.. not sure if I know how to do this.....
I could always call a friend who comes in by remote to do this for me
he helps me with my laptop

whoops forgot to ask you.. I found in my control panel with all my programs the network magic
if I uninstall it... do you have a link to install it again for me to download it.. and I have my key number

If you don't have the download you better wait and call them 1st. I did Google for a download and several came up but they don't look like trusted sites I would be very leery.

ok I have network magic.. and the key. so best call them....
it was downloaded to our computers many many many years ago .. so don't know even where the download would
be... lol

I saw downloads too on sites but I too would be leary....

p.s. do you mean a download on a disc????

If you have the basic edition, it looks like it's still downloadable from MajorGeeks Download Network Magic Basic - MajorGeeks

I have a red X on my icon and it says not connected, but I'm still able to see and share files and folders with my other computers. I have version 5.5, but I'm not sure if it is Pro or Essentials

I have a red x too.....
I like this network magic because when the internet goes down I could reset the connect right from my computer
without going in the other room where modem and dlink are and I don't have to call my internet provider if all else
fails. pain in the rump to do that.... lol

No, I didn't try it, but I will.
I just looked at my XP and I have Network Magic Essentials 5.5 .... like I said, I'm still able to share, but it also could be because I have a Linksys compact USB adapter to run my laptop wirelessly.

Are you still able to share? Does the Network map show up when you right click to open Network Magic?

I clicked MG's first download mirror site (not the author's) and it looks okay on my end. Don't click the big green advertisement to download!

I have a d-link sys. 655 I think that is what it is called...

I am going to find out all details and let ya know
