Hi all,
As usual, yesterdar I have installed the Microsoft Security Updates in 3 laptops, 2 of them with Windows 7 x64 Professional and the other one with Windows 7 x86 Ultimate.
After the updates, in all of them, I'm receiving a Network Pop Up message that don't dissapear saying something like this:
"information may be necessary for additional login" - My Windows is in Portuguese (PT) and this is a direct translation from the Portuguese message which is in a bad Portuguese!
Can anyone help me with this, please?
Thanks,
Jorge

I don't know if I use opendns! Where do I check it?

My Computer

OS
Windows 7 Professional
in command prompt:
Code:
ipconfig/all

Scroll up to see the start of output (sorry it's in Dutch)

Somewhere you see something like
DHCP-server . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.20.1
DHCPv6 IAID . . . . . . . . . . . : 912043084
DHCPv6-client DUID. . . . . . . . : 00-01-00-01-13-FE-27-D2
DNS-servers . . . . . . . . . . . : 202.51.40.25
202.51.35.25
NetBIOS via TCPIP . . . . . . . . : ingeschakeld

What is listed there after DNS-servers?

Update, 8:34 p.m.. ET: Several readers have pointed my attention to problems with a non-security update released with today’s batch: KB2750841. According to this thread, KB2750841 seems to be causing issues for users of OpenDNS. This workaround from OpenDNS forum user “gotroot” appears to have worked for most users experiencing problems.

Hi,
I have alreadu checked and can confirm that I am not using OpenDNS.
I've seen in another thread (http://www.sevenforums.com/general-...al-log-information-may-required-pop-up-4.html) the following:
"Hello everyone.
I don'y know if Opendns fixed sth but yesterday i had the same problem, switched to google dns and today i switched back to opendns all options checked and there is no popup message.
Anyone else?"
I have to check up my notebooks at home and confirm if today the message dissapeard!
On this one, at the office, I have uninstalled KB2750841.
Can anyone confirm if the message still there today?
