1. First in the device manager, my "Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter is getting and error that says "Windows has shut down this device (code 43)"

2. The speed of the internet spikes between normal speed(10k-18k bytes/s to around 40 bytes a second

3. In the event view there is a warning that says: "NtpClient was unable to set a domain peer to use as a time source because of discovery error. NtpClient will try again in 3473457 minutes and double the reattempt interval thereafter. The error was: The entry is not found. (0x800706E1)"

4. Another problem in the event viewer: "Name resolution for the name isatap.ktechsystems.ca timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded."

5. Yet another problem, at this point my internet slows down to an unbearable speed: "This computer was not able to set up a secure session with a domain controller in domain KTECHSYSTEMS due to the following:
There are currently no logon servers available to service the logon request.
This may lead to authentication problems. Make sure that this computer is connected to the network. If the problem persists, please contact your domain administrator.

ADDITIONAL INFO
If this computer is a domain controller for the specified domain, it sets up the secure session to the primary domain controller emulator in the specified domain. Otherwise, this computer sets up the secure session to any domain controller in the specified domain."

If anyone has a suggestion on how i can fix this, it would be greatly appreciated.

ps.
-internet worked fine while hooked into the router through a cable

-I apologize for my ignorance

First off, are you on a network that is connected to, (by some means) the authoritative server for ktechsystems.ca what exactly is your network environment that this Windows 7 system is associated with.

All i know is he has it set up through windows server 2008, and my network goes my pc > server(ktechsystems.ca in this case) > internet. Also its a work network if that matters. Btw my dad manages the network but says nothing is wrong atm, yet my internet spikes, and lags like crazy.

Is this a mesh network and your adapter is acting as an access point as well ?

I am just wondering why your dad has the setup for you using a Virtual Wifi Adapter ?

the drop in speed your experiencing is where your network card is failing to resolve the dns address of the authoritative server and I wonder if this is down to a problem with the Virtual Wifi Adapter as it is a relatively new development in drivers for the NIC ?

In other words Microsoft have been playing with it for a while but the manufacturers have yet to properly catch up with drivers :sarc:

what make and model is your NIC ?

Atheros AR5005GS Wireless Network Adapter version 8.0.0.238, but i dont thinkit actually runs off the wifi adapter, thats why i was so confused when the virtual wifi adapter kept failing.

well any visualization has to work from a physical device so maybe the next step could be to try investigate the latest drivers and google for some problems with this wifi adapter ?

I would at this point suggest talking to your network admin so in this case how much does your dad mind if you meddle with your connection on his network ??

you could try manually setting your DNS servers to google ?
