Network Sharing Between 2 PC's[Please Help me]

hey im trying to share files between 2 computers using "network" in windows explorer. BUT i get these errors:

1. Error 'code: 0x80070035 The network path was not found (i get this when i try to connect from my laptop to my pc)

2. COMPUTERNAME// Not accessible .. ... (i get this when i try to connect from my pc to my laptop)




*In the worst case scenario are there any alternatives like windows explorer network or somethin that will work for me?

In both PC's Control Panel>Network and Sharing Center>Advanced settings: Turn on File and Printer sharing and Network discovery, Turn off password protected sharing.

It's easiest to just knit them together using Homegroup password from one PC, then rightclick every folder you want shared to Share with Homegroup. Homegroup - Add Computer or Join - Windows 7 Help Forums

To do this only via Network sharing, you'll need to rightclick the folder to Share with Specific People or Everyone, choosing Read or Read/Write permissions.

IP addresses?

Can you connect if you use the IP addresses?

You can do this by typing the IP address, of the target PC, into the Windows Explorer Address bar.

You also need to make sure that the Firewall and Anti-virus program(s) used on both computers don't interfere with 'sharing'.
