How can I put a shortcut to the network on my netbook desktop which is running Windows 7 Starter ( to show all computers connected to my network)

There are a couple ways to do this and it will show all machines in your network but it's not quite like the network map. The link below shows you how.
For the network map just go to the network and sharing center and click on "see full map". There are some limitations with windows 7 starter for instance, you can't create a Homegroup but you can join one.
