Ever since I've upgraded to win 7 pro on my htpc, everytime I want to transfer a large file to another computer, the rig just reboots instantly without any bsod's. The strange thing is that downloading files from other network pc's is fine but just the uploading is the issue. Also, I've notice right before it crashes, the status of the transfer speed is over 100MB/s which can't be right since I've only have gigabit and my hd's max out at 60MB/s.
I've tried changing the nic drivers, transfering in safe mode, turned off antivirus and nothing has worked. I am stumped. My other pc's have win 7 home prem installed. Sometimes, when I'm lucky, the file transfer will produce an error 0x800705AA: Insufficient system resources exist to complete the requested service. Tried googling the error message but nothing has help.

Welcome!

It sounds a lot like a network adapter driver issue. Make sure you are running the latest version, and that version is dated at earliest July 13, 2009.

What software are you using to network the PCs?

I'm using file sharing via windows explorer. I've tested the latest drivers from realteks site and the standard drivers included with win 7 and both experience the same instant reboot issue. Going to try the drivers listed on my motherboard's site to see if that resolves the problem.
