Click Start orb :orb:

Now type services.msc and hit Enter.

Find "Peer Networking Identity Manager" from the big list of services you see.

Double click it, then set the startup type to "Automatic" from the drop down list.

Now restart your system.

   Note
Default startup type for the Peer Networking Identity Manager service is Manual

Hi Lynne and welcome to Seven Forums.

When did this problem happen?

Have you made any changes to the PC prior to this problem? Such as updates, driver updates, anti-virus.

It should help to delete the idstore.sst files at

"C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking\idstore.sst

After that type services.msc and hit enter etc. restart these services, then reboot the machine.

Peer Name Resolution Protocol
Peer Networking Grouping
PNRP Machine Name Publication Service

In order to see the AppData file and other hidden files you will need to go into Folder Options in the Control Panel, go to the View tab then set to show hidden files and folders.

No problem, so it was a new installed printer? That is why I always ask for more info on the problem as it can help us a lot more than just jumping into things :) Glad you figured it all out anyways :)
