Hi there,

I do try to network my files over a wifi connection but can't access to all of them...

PC1 Vista: Sees all the others
PC2 XP home: Sees the same
PC3 Win 7229: Sees the same

1) I can't find where is the password on Vista!!:sarc:

2)Vista won't accept my username and password for Win 7
Vista won't access to XP Home

3) Xp won't accept my username and password for Win 7

First can someone indicate the way to find the damn password on vista, please!

I can see all the computers and their nicknames through the network on the three on them...but nothing work even with WMP who sees the others WMP shared on the three computers.

Cheers!

Hi. One thing I thought of is win 7 homegroup. When you setup networking in win 7 it asked if you were setting up a home network or a work network. If home a home group was setup. You can find the password for the homegroup in control panel homegroup, change password. After you know it you need to set up vista and XP in the same homegroup (workgroup) with that password. You get the password from win 7 and put it into vista and xp.

Hope this helps. Im sure someone will explain it to you more succintly ethan i DID

Thanks for your respond.

All the computers are set to "HOMEGROUP.NET" and are set eitheir to home (private) network

I got the Win 7 password printed, this is ok...

But got no password for Vista and can't find it on vista.

For XP i do not know eitheir if it has one day asked me a password.
Got this error code when trying access to Xp through Win7 :0x80070035 Can't find the network

At later date...

At least WPM share well media between Win7 & Vista!
Xp still a little behind, but it will come soon as both can see his WMP.

The damn password provide on Win 7 doesn't work on all usernames/computers.
