Ive updated all drivers, stress tested each piece of hardware for hours on end ( i.e memtest86, occt, prime95...etc) nothing ever errors or gets hot. Ive even reformatted and reinstalled the os after all testing passed. It will play games just fine for hours on end as well. The bsod is never consistent. Sometimes it will run for days. Sometimes it bsods a couple times in a hour. Its been going on for weeks. Im about at my wits end. It started about two months after the build randomly. Any ideas would be much appreciated.

*Edited for adding of the zip file.

Um several problem

First old drivers (from 2005 to present) If you have updated drivers your missed these

Code:
ASACPI.sys 3/27/2005 21:30:36 0x42476c4c fffff880`042d1000 fffff880`042d9000 0x00008000
RTCore64.sys 5/25/2005 1:39:12 0x42941d90 fffff880`0850a000 fffff880`08510000 0x00006000
ctac32k.sys 7/2/2008 3:38:22 0x486b3e7e fffff880`07232000 fffff880`072e0000 0x000ae000
AtiPcie.sys 5/5/2009 10:00:22 0x4a005486 fffff880`01951000 fffff880`01959000 0x00008000
How To Find Drivers:
- search Google for the name of the driver
- compare the Google results with what's installed on your system to figure out which device/program it belongs to
- visit the web site of the manufacturer of the hardware/program to get the latest drivers (DON'T use Windows Update or the Update driver function of Device Manager).
- if there are difficulties in locating them, post back with questions and someone will try and help you locate the appropriate program.
- - The most common drivers are listed on this page: Driver Reference Driver Reference
- - Driver manufacturer links are on this page: Drivers and Downloads

Second ASACPI.SYS (from 2005) A HUGE CAUSE OF BSODS

ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005
The 2005 version of this driver is a known BSOD cause.
Please visit this link: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt
Scroll down to the Utilities category, then scroll down to the "ATK0110 driver for WindowsXP/Vista/Windows 7 32&64-bit " (it's about the 8th item down).
Download and install it.
Go to C:\Windows\System32\drivers to check and make sure that the ASACPI.sys file is date stamped from 2009 or 2010 (NOT 2005).

Third avast. Remove and replace with Microsofrt security essentials

http://files.avast.com/files/eng/aswclear5.exe

http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/

Finally AFTER all the above your hardware issue may resolve itself but these crashes have all been caused by hardware read here to find out what that means and what to try

Your .dmp file shows a stop error of 0x124 which is a general hardware error .. A "stop 0x124" is fundamentally different to many other types of bluescreens because it stems from a hardware complaint. Stop 0x124 minidumps contain very little practical information, and it is therefore necessary to approach the problem as a case of hardware in an unknown state of distress. You can read more on this error and what to try here... http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lockup-debug-how/35349-stop-0x124-what-means-what-try.html

Thanks

Thats a very handy little program you have there for trouble shooting.

I am willing to bet it was the asacpi.sys that was causing the problems. I was aware of this. But i allowed windows update to install it and didnt check to make sure it was the most current. My mistake.

ctac32k.sys = creative. I had the latest drivers installed but just checked and noticed some beta drivers came out 4 days ago. Those are downloading now.

* Edit latest drivers are still from june 2010 for creative x-fi xtreme music. new drivers dont support windows 7.

rtcore65.sys = msi afterburner. Had the lastest i thought. But as of last week a new release. Downloaded and installed. ( i do oc gtx570 and use custom fan control so its necessary).

AtiPcie.sys =? i am unsure about. I have a gtx570 installed. The chipset is amd. But i have the most current chipset drivers.

I know i can delete it and then allow to auto reinstall. But could you adivise that there is indeed a newer dated driver? I did some searching and couldnt find an answer.

By the way thanks for the help. I really appreciate it.

* Edit also removed avast and installed security essentials.

Well my assumption was wrong. It bsod after 6 hours of usage. With the same 0x124

It seems to crash most on websites that are flash heavy. A couple websites in particular seem to induce the crash the most. Though not always,it could just be coincidence.

Ive probably read everything online about that error. Nothing very helpful. Seems almost everyone's culprit was something different. As ive said ive stress tested everything. It bsod's at stock settings or oc'd . Ive tried all sorts of frequency/voltage adjustments.

But the thing is, i let prime 95 run for about 4 hours the other night. With no errors at all. Also, memtest86 has been run for hours with the same results. Same with the gpu, ive stressted everything. I cant get errors. But the bsod's continue.

All parts are less then 3 mo old. So everything is covered under warranty still. I would just rather not risk getting a refurb of something if i dont have to.

Any other ideas?

Thank you for trying to help. But you must not of read all of the posts.

Its will blue screen overclocked or not. With or without msi installed. It was running just fine for 2 months with all the above applications and settings . Then one evening it bsod and it has been happening since. Nothing new was installed or nothing was changed.

I found that 0x124 checklist that keeps getting linked weeks ago. I have done everything on there. Reformat included.

I was hoping someone here would know something new that i wasn't able to find. Not regurgitate the same thing over and over.

Its odd i cant get errors on stress tests. And the pc will idle or run a stress test for aslong as i let it sit. But surfing the net causes bsod. Its only crashed once while playing an online game ( bad company 2).

Ive removed the xfi and put a 4350 in place of the 570 in the previous install of 7 to trouble shoot. And it still bsod.

Should i just start rmaing parts? What would you start with if that was the case? Im thinking cpu then ram then mobo . In that order until i find the culprit.

What if they test it and it doesnt error tho? I cant get errors with any of it.

I just stopped it. I let memtest run for right at 7 hours and 8 passes. No errors. Ive let it run for 3 or 4 passes before. I was pretty sure it wasnt going to error.

So all hardware passes any stress test. Ive let prime95 run for hours no errors on that or anything else. Occt reports no errors on anything as well.

Any other ideas?

I really do appreciate the assistance.

Are you overclocking (CPU, GPU, RAM) anything? If so, please stop and return to default values.

I rolled back flash player to version 9. As it happens mostly on websites that are flash heavy. And it stopped for a couple weeks. So i assumed the problem was fixed. But it just bsod again. With the exact same error.

It crashes @ all default settings or overclocked. At any vcore ranging from 1.375 to 1.42. Ive read sometimes it can be caused by a lack of voltage. Ive turned off c&q anc ce1. Ive tried turning on and off llc. Reset cmos.....etc.

When really thought about it. It happend a day or so after a bios update. Ive tried to roll back to the orginal bios. But it says that it was released before the board was made. So it wont install it. The ones im left with all bsod the same. Right now im running the most current bios .

And that seagate ap says my drives are fine.

Chkdsk finds no errors either.

I havnt wanted to do it. But i think i might rma the mobo. Maybe ill just buy a new one and sell the replacement.

The problem can be so sporadic though. And seems to be causes by certain websites mainly. I can game for hours or run stress tests for days. With no issues.

I somewhat did.

I found that if i disabled adobe flash player in the browser i was using. The crash ceased to happen. I had gotten busy with business and the computer sat for a bit.

After things slowed again i installed all adobe and windows updates . So far so good.

TBH, even though disabling adobe fixed it. I think it had something to do with the mobo.

It didnt like something adobe was trying to access. Never figured out what though.

I took the first BSOD hit when I attempted running Spybot and Malwarebytes simultaneously. It is a two week old system I built with an AMD X6 1090T with 16 GB RAM running 7 Pro 64. Yesterday, throughout the day, anytime I put ANY kind of load on the system it BSOD with a Cache Hierarchy Error on core 4 (always). MY BIOS and many of my drivers are up to date. Not overclocking. I ran CHKDSK yesterday on my RAID 1 disk and it was clean. I ran MEMTEST86+ for 14 hours last night and it was clean. I was thinking it was a CPU problem seeing it was so consistent with core 4. I also thought the perhaps some part of the system had gotten corrupted. I did a System Restore because, by chance, I had done a backup the day before the BSOD's began occurring. The BSOD's continued.

This morning I ran the AMD CPU stability test for an hour without any problems. I have used the system all day, again running multiple malware scans simultaneously and have NOT taken any BSOD's!

The only thing I notice very different from yesterday, is that it was much cooler. I'm wondering if the heat got me. I'm running a big aftermarket Zalman fan on the CPU. Perhaps liquid cooling may be a direction to head in. The next really warm day may tell.

I jinxed myself. After a couple weeks of no BSOD i got 3 of them last night.

All same errors as always 0x124.

My pc has always passed any stress or error test ive run. And ive run everything on it. I even let prime/blend run for close to 24 hours. Not one issue.

Im personally 99.9% sure its something with the mobo. As any clock speed/voltage on cpu and any timings/voltages/speeds on ram result in the same issue.

I need to rma it but ive been to busy to deal with the downtime. Ill probably order a new mobo...eventually.

The issue started about two weeks after the build for me as well. I have a 1055t x6 and 4gb ddr1600 and 7 64 ultimate. So similar builds.

What mobo do you have? Im using an asus m4a87tg evo.

A fatal hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Machine Check Exception
Error Type: Cache Hierarchy Error
Processor ID: 4

^^And i bet that error message looks familiar.

It seems we are having the exact same issue.

Hello:
I have an ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 mobo. I found I can BSOD by running Spybot SD. Got rid of that. I had lots of things running today, and I tried to upgrade Adobe Reader 9. Second/s within clicking on "Install" it BSOD'ed. I too can run stress and stability tests on RAM and CPU and it runs fine. Quite squirrelly. I'm just letting it burn in today. I came back and found that Firefox had crashed - at least it wasn't the system. Apps seem to be having problems.
I cleaned my registry using AdvancedSystem Care. There are just so many directions to go in as far as looking at this. I'm not getting any sense of what I should be leaning toward - even hardware or software as of right now.
I have looked at many forum postings re: Cache Hierarchy Errors and there are LOTS of thoughts on it, but I have never seen any post a response that it was fixed, and here is what THEIR problem was.

I am going to do a couple things:
CPU - ran the AMD stability test, and it did take an error.
1) Reseat the CPU. I fixed a system before doing this
2) Try a second CPU. I have an older AMD that I think will fit in this socket.
RAM -
1) Remove all the dimms and very lightly "erase" them with a soft pencil eraser. The mainframe engineers used to do this all the time. I have had it work wonders as well. Put additional new memory in a laptop, and after a couple weeks some of it just disappeared. Removed it, "erased it", put it back in, and never had a problem again.
2) Remove dimms and see if it runs OK until one possible gives problems.

Of course, I will stress the system after taking any of these actions.

Hello:
Reseated the CPU. Just previous to this, I was taking lots of strange errors, including messages that I should shut down the system immediately because the CPU fan wasn't working - when it in fact was, and temps were down in the 25 C range. Firefox kept dying by itself as well as other apps. After reseating the CPU I ran the AMD Stability Test for 17 hours at 100% usage. No errors. I also simultaneously ran multiple apps doing disk scans, video, music, Adobe, etc. without a hiccup. I also was concerned about heat causing the problems, and by doing all of the above, it was the hottest I have seen it: CPU 72 C, and MOBO 69 C. I was using over 6 GB of RAM. I was pleasantly surprised at how fast the system was running the applications with the Stability Test running simultaneously. MS 7 was doing some fine O/S management.
Now, I am going to let it idle to see if cool affects it. It is a cold day here for a change. If nothing odd happens, I am going to continue to let it run 24x7, and not do anything else to it, except use it for what it was intended.

I have continued to run stability tests on the processor, and chkdsks, etc. to no avail. I have reseated the CPU and cleaned and reseated memory. I continue to occasionally get odd ball errors different than what occurred in the past. The errors seem to repeat and then go away to be replaced by some other error. Yesterday, RAID had an error. I have also found that the BIOS altered the options available to a list of speeds I have never seen before. I have also seen corrupted applications where I have had to reinstall the software. I RMA'ed the motherboard this morning, and will receive a new MOBO in two days to try out. It is possessed of evil spirits.
