New Asus Laptop Becomes Unresponsive, Hangs on Shutdown, then BSOD

Hi and welcome

There were two problems that need addressing.


First.

The crashes were reported to be Related to FLxHCIc.sys xHCI Bus Driver from Fresco Logic. I would remove at least to test.


Second

You have Aicharger. This is often the cause of BSOD's and isn't necessary as USB will automatically charge the attached device.

i have the same problem as you warpoet. ive just recently purchased the same laptop and received it a couple days ago. my laptop crashes after i put it to sleep or put the lid down and it goes into hibernate. can anyone help us please?

My problems also usually begin occuring after the laptop comes back from sleep/hibernate mode. In some cases, the computer will become almost completely unresponsive with mini-freezes happening in succession, or with slow shutdowns resulting in a perpetual hang at the "shutting down" screen. Anyone out there have any ideas?

Unfortunately, no. Sometimes the computer will simply hang or freeze up and does not BSOD, so there are no new DMP files to share. I have removed the two things you mentioned, and so far no problems, but I am still concerned about the shutdown process as it always seems very delayed. Oftentimes the "These programs are stopping Windows from shutting down" will pop up when I try shutting down, but nothing is listed on the window.

You can check for items delaying shutdown in event viewer

There are several ways to find what the problem is. The best is to go into event viewer (type eventvwr in search). Event viewer (local) and look for the critical errors listed in the last day, week, etc. Then go to the windows log>application tab. Finally the windows Logs>system tabs.

You want to look for critical errors (they have red in the left column ).

When you find them you want to look for critical errors that say app hang, app crash, or anything that relates to the problem.

When you find them please note the event ID, and the source codes and tell us what they are.

ACPI: ACPI BIOS is attempting to write to an illegal PCI Operation Region (0x4), Please contact your system vendor for technical assistance.

A couple others I have noted are:

The print spooler failed to share printer Epson ESC/P-R with shared resource name Epson ESC/P-R. Error 2114. The printer cannot be used by others on the network.

A timeout (30000 milliseconds) was reached while waiting for a transaction response from the NVSvc service.

Unable to open the Redirector service performance object. The first four bytes (DWORD) of the Data section contains the status code.

There seem to be a ton of errors in here though. Should I be concerned or is that normal for Windows?

The only important one is ACPI. You may need to update the bios. Be sure to have a backup if you do.
