New BSOD on attempting to shutdown windows 7.

My trials and tribulations continue it seems. I recently had to replace my cpu cooler because I was getting BSODs due to overheating it seems. Then, for reasons unknown, the computer froze on startup a couple days ago, then proceeded to crash just PRIOR to startup every time. I had to reinstall windows 7. Since then, things were running smoothly again..... until last night. Upon shutdown, the computer experienced a BSOD during the shutdown process. It restarted, and I attempted to shut it down again. BSOD. This time however, I did catch the blue screen, and it said something about USB Drivers. The USB drivers I am using are the same exact ones it has always had, that came with the motherboard and have never given me any problems in the past. It had no problems that morning, only in the evening when shutting down. The only thing that changed in that time, was I installed Razor Surround as a part of the setup for Wasteland 2 (which had already been installed, just not ran since the Windows reinstall). Thanks. As far as I can tell, there is no update for this under windows update. additionally, the computer crashes on shutdown, so any updates I attempt to install will most likely fail when they try to install during shutdown. Is there a way to fix this problem somehow some other way? Find the update manually or something?

Well, there's always restore and re-install.

Don't ask me why, but it seems to be some conflict between the USB serial driver and the Razor Surround sound software. Removed that, and no more problem. Even went so far as to reinstall it to test.... sure enough, problem returns. So, lesson to everyone... Razor Surround Sound program? Bad mojo. I'll leave this open for a few days, just to make sure the problem doesn't return, then I will mark as solved.
