New Build

HAHA!! I have checked UPS a few times. Suppose Im a bit Obssesive :o
According to UPS ETA is Tuesday.

And yea, I would have kept my Xtreme Gamer card as I do like it, but I had to move to a PCIe x1.

But honestly, I've never had any driver issues with my Creative card & I only use the official drivers. I know others have had nightmares with them, perhaps Ive just been lucky?

Mine have always been problem free & just worked, so I didnt really have issues sticking with them.

Supposedly, the Titanium HD is supposed to be the best one they've made yet, built specifically for Windows 7. Also supposed to sound just as good as the Xonars. (Think it only works on 7 as well)
At any count I suppose we'll see.

Hoping all goes well, and certainly excited about it.
I was also going to get a LED kit for the case interior, but held off on it.
After I replace all the Stock fans, then may be decide if I want to go with Red, or White ... or even at all. Not sure what would look best yet :)

Yes, good call on holding off on the lights (for now).

I always like to build a new system very barebones at first, the minimal amount of components necessary, and keep everything default.

Then start up and if everything is cool then do memory tests. Then OS. Then Prime95 and maybe OCCT. If the system passes then I start adding stuff: additional hard drives, cards, devices, and anything else that draws additional power, then play with BIOS settings.

It is a bit slower than just putting everything in the box and pushing the button, but it is a lot faster if there should be a problem component to track down and replace.

2 cents

lol, I know that feeling. Delivery due - F5 F5 F5 F5. It's yet to make the courier get here quicker but still... F5 F5 F5 F5 :p

My Azuentech is pretty much one of the creative X-FI cards and and since the last lot of drivers (Aug 2010) , it's pretty much been flawless apart from the occasional 'forget your setting'. Prior to that - they were a bit 'meh'

It's a white case - so, anything will ;)

+1

The thing is though, with a white case most things look good. But the things that look bad look terrible. :sarc:
