New chipset drivers causing big #'s drop?

Hi everybody , i installed drivers that were recommended for my system by two known experts , however when i performed a "Windows experience index" for performance the #'s went right down the drain.

The #'s with the new driver are on the left.

Is this common?

Did you use the SNID on asus website to find the chip set driver ?

Been to the Asus website numerous times and tried their latest recommendations, they have always listed one chipset driver that's always been the same and never updated .

It works OK , was just trying other much more updated ones but will probably just go back to that one.

You can get your onboard graphic's driver from Intel though.
I usually right click desktop and select graphic's properties/ Help-support sections and there should be graphic's driver update listings there.

I'm sorry about that, i'm the one that have told you about the Intel Chipset. It had never hapenned to me even with those latest ones.

You should do a check list about your laptop. I know you really want to have the most up to date for your machine.

Check if possible in Device Manager & "Programs & Feature" and what's in the manufacturer site:

-The version of Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) for Intel 6 series platform
(this one care about thermal interface & sensors installed on your machine)

-The Intel Chipset Utility Software version. (tells the machine if in device manager all is listed OK)

-The Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) version for your hard drive.

-The Intel SSD Toolbox version (v3.3.0 is the latest) for your 530 series (optimizing your SSD)

Asus site have those (Year 2011):

-Version V7.0.0.1144 for Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI)
-Version V10.5.0.1026 for Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST)
-Version V9.2.0.1021 for Intel INF Update Driver (Intel Chipset)
-Version V8.15.10.2405 for Intel Graphics Driver

NoN , don't be ridiculous , it's not your fault , you gave me great info , i was just baffled as to why the performance drop , i don't know if it's the drivers or not.

Right now i'm back to your recommendation actually , the 10.1.1.? series chipset and the computer's running well .

I also got the latest version of the ACHI driver , 12.9.4. 1000 which Fernando recommended.
