New desktop - cant connect to internet...

Hi.

Im sharing a wi-fi connection with my neighboor, and I had no problems getting online from my laptop. I just bought a new desktop however, and I cant connect it to the wi-fi connection - do I need to buy some kind of adapter or something.

You need to buy Wireless adapter to have wi-fi internet on your desktop pc.

You're welcome! I don't have wi-fi at home,and I'm not using Wireless adapter so I can't advice you which one to buy.

You'll also need to ascertain whether you have any spare slots on your motherboard and if so, what type they are.

They also make nice USB wireless-N adapters for a good price. I prefer Linksys personally.

Note: They are backward compatible with wireless-G networks.
