Well, its that time of the year again. Just because of the stupid license system that all the companies use when teir product isn't free. Anyway, that really annoying Kapersky window kepts popping up telling me that I have 10, 9, then 8 days left. I'm not saying that Kapersky is bad, which it 100% isn't. I love it! What it is is not free.
So far, a few programs have caught my eyes:
Comodo Internet Security
Avast!
Microsoft Security Essentials

What are you guys' opinions on these programs in terms of:
Overall protection
Controlability (my dad once tried AVG and it left some really bad s*** behind when we got rid of it. I think my dad had to reformat the drive to completely get rid of it.)
Clean-up ability
Compatability with Win 7 64bit
Overall score/How it compares to Kapersky

I don't think resource usage will be a problem with a core i7 720 processor or 4 gb ram, but if it is, please mention it.
Also, are there others that I should know about?

Here are some good combos:
MSE + Windows Firewall + Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (Free)
MSE + Comodo Firewall + Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (Free)

You can also add Avast to your chosen combo if you want. I know that running two AV programs at the same time could slow down your system, but Avast is an exception to that rule. In fact, it adds another security layer to your PC's security. It detects malware uncaught by MSE. :D
