Nvidia quadro k620 graphics card
Killer Fatal1ty z97 mother board with onboard hdmi

Ok, so Im extremely new to the tech world, and I just built my first computer. I've been using my tv as my monitor via my hdmi cable. I plugged in my graphics card to my pcie slot and then my hdmi wouldn't work. I kind of assumed that the video card was overriding the onboard graphics. No problem - i plugged in a spare monitor to install the nvidia drivers, and I assumed I was done. Went to plug in the hdmi cable to the motherboard hdmi slot and it's not working. Am I stuck with using the two ports that are attached to the k620? Or can I use my motherboard hdmi port still? This is going to ruin me if I can't use the hdmi.

Thanks in advance

You can only use the new video card.

Why are you using a Quadro K620 ?

NVIDIA Quadro K620

You need a dvi to hdmi cable, but that won`t transmit sound, hope that is not an issue. (TV speakers suck)

What is the exact make and model of the PC ?

If you were happy with the PC, then why install the K620 ?

Hey, thanks for the prompt response. I just noticed you can get a dvi-I to hdmi adapter, but i wasn't aware it wouldn't transmit sound. Bummer.

I just built this computer so there isn't exactly a make and model, but the specs are as follows...

Asrock killer fatal1ty z97 mobo
intel 4690k cpu
gskill rip jaw 16 gb - soon to be 32gb ram
Ocz 250gb ssd
wd 1tb HDD

the reason I went with the quadro k620 is because I read quadros work very well with Adobe products. .. premiere and after effects specifically, which I've been playing around with recently. Like I said before... very new to the tech world so I'm not very familiar with these things. If I don't use ray traced 3d very often should I just get a regular g force card? Again... new so quite a few questions.

If that card has a display port and a dvi port, which the link I posted looks like it does, then, if both monitors have a dvi port, which they should, Just use 1 dvi cable to 1 monitor and then use a display port to dvi adaptor like in the picture in the link, then connect to the other monitor with another dvi cable.

And if you want sound, just buy a set of speakers to connect to the motherboard.
