I agree get a newer motherboard that has PCI-E or at least a AGP slot. I would lean towards the PCI-E.

Look on eBay for a motherboard combo my brother bought one for around 65 bucks shipped was better then the eMachine he had ! It came with the cpu and fan and 1Gb of memory. Not the latest or fastest motherboard but at he least he has options to install a different CPU, install a Pci-E video card and more ram down the road......... when he can afford it.

Did you not read the posts earlier in this thread. i worked quite a bit with this user and that Dell model doesn't even have AGP...it's just PCI.

Sure, however the user was under a very tight budget. A new mobo likely means a new processor, new RAM, in this case a new video card, perhaps a new power supply.....so this is likely far more than the person wanted to spend.
