New Hard Disk

Hello everyone. I recently bought a new hard disk to my desktop(WD 1TB 7200RPM) and when I'm gonna install Windows 7 it doesn't work. Comes out this message" windows cannot be installed to this disk this computer's hardware may not support booting this disk". I checked my motherboard( Phoenix Bios) and I can't found what is the real problem. Anyone knows ? (Sorry bad English)

The hard drive must be initialised as MBR.

Use your install disc to open Command Prompt to use Diskpart

I tried and don't worked. When I try to make a partition or changing to gpt or mbr in Windows Setup, it appears a error in cmd saying I should read again system log in Setup.

Did you run dsikpart in command prompt by booting from the install disc ?

Did you read the tutorial ?

Yes, I did. But everytime I try to access to disk, appears a error to see system log in Windows Setup. Log says "Windows is unable to install on this partition". The error changed to another one... Now, I don't know what to do

Are you booting from the disc ? Are you hitting Shift & F10 at the repair this PC screen ?

Did you run Diskpart yet, did you run the commands, to setup the hard drive yet ?

I finally found a solution to this. I checked disk in another pc, and was a HD problem. Gonna change to another . Thanks for help anyways

But it`s a new hard disk

If you get a new drive you will still have to initialise it as MBR and set it up using Diskpart.
