I have just bought a new HDD and was installing it, everything went fine and it was all up and running. However I first set it up without any partition on it, but then I tried to delete the volume and set it up with a two partitions on it. It starts of alright and asks me the size of the volume etc. and then asks if I would like to perform a quick formet but then it goes like this:

Then after a while I get this message:

I have tried everything that it says but no matter what it just keeps offering the same advice, which doesn't work.

UPDATE: It will allow me to avtivate and use the smaller partition that is unactive on the screen dump but not the larger one?

Solved the problem by going into device manager and uninstalling the HDD driver and then restarting the PC. When the PC restarted it told me that I needed to format the partition that was causing the problems.
