Hello.

I bought a new headset and when I use it to chat with my Friends on skype, they all complain because they hear a machiny noise.... like the computer ventrilator or somethings... no matter the distance between the computer and the mic.... they always hear the noice.

The other problem with the mic is that.... it does not work on Secon Life (a game where people can chat and use voice chat) .... and the machiny noise gets worst :/ actually... people can't hear me, just the noice... and... it's not the grid because I've used it before on this game and it used to work.... not perfectly .... the noice was always there but now is worst.

What can I do?

Are you on the HP Mini 110 that's in your System Specs? why don't you try the old "Nintendo Blow" on the headset jack? it could be dirty... and also, what brand/model is your headset?

Ok, try to blow some air into the headphone jack, it could be dust inside, or! it could be a driver issue, have you installed the latest audio driver for your Netbook? it could also be the levels of the Microphone in your Audio Settings!

Right-click the mini speaker next to the windows clock, and click on Recording device! open the Default one and check its volume level, that could be causing the "extra noise"..

Please, do that and report back :)
