New install of December 2015 integrated W7 Ultimate has only 1 update?

After the install had finished I checked for 'Installed updates' and found only one, KB976902.

How can I check to see exactly which updates are now in the system?

Well thats Service pack 1 200+ to follow.

Dunno about that. SP1 was the basis of the integration and I can appreciate that none of the contents of the service pack would show up as individuals, but are you saying that integrated updates shouldn't show either?

This is the second integration I've tried. The first I did myself with NTLite. And that one certainly showed the 200 updates I'd added. But I believe this second integration was done with DISM or SYSPREP. Is that the reason for the no-show?

ooops missed a word should have said thats >>> PRE << SP1.

Its a requirement before SP1 can update,
so if youve allready got SP1 uninstall it.
(No legitimate disk will have that setup)

But that KB976902 update is from 2010.

And it was superseded by KB2533552.

SP1 is already showing in Computer > Properties. Why should I uninstall it?

The plot has thickened. Just got online with my new SP1-based, integrated install (which a very geeky sysadmin mate put together for me last month) and MS Updates are offering me 223 updates! Including SP1!!

My mate has fled the country and is temporarily incommunicado, so I can't ask him.

Anyone know why I'd be offered another install of SP1?

Sigh. I used to think computers were created to better our lives. What an incredibly bad guess that was.

As i said that KB is a pre-requiset for SP1.
Uninstall it, rerun the WU and see what you get, if the updated KB you quoted is there hide it as well and rerun again.

You check right here. That is not Service Pack 1, it`s just a small file with the same name. If your installer includes Service Pack 1, then you`ll never see it as an update.

Hey, maybe you're right, AddRAM.

I assumed (always a dangerous practice) that, because I got onto Microsoft catalog, punched in KB976932, turned up a file of 900MB or so (then downloaded it for slipstreaming or future reference) that the file on offer from Windows Updates was the same animal.

But now I look back at the screen grabs I made of the offered files, I see that the version of KB976932 noted there, is only 9.1MB.

Interesting. I've never before come across a specifically numbered update file that came in two different sizes.

It's an updated wrapper for SP1, that's why it's so small.
