I purchased a new lenovo G580 laptop last month(i5 -3210m and Windows 7 x64 home premium) and have had around 6-8 crashes.Havent installed any new software except Skype. The crashes initially mentioned only 'damageguardx64.sys' of Lenovo. However I am unable to find any fix for it. Can you pls help.

Welcome aboard.

First of all, uninstall McAfee. That's bad.
Code:

It is McAfee Host Intrusion Detection Link Driver. Use Microsoft Security Essentials - Free Antivirus for Windows.

A lot of Lenovo Bloatware are there, causing problems.
Damage Guard: Causing some damages here :)
Code:
BugCheck 19, {22, 0, 0, 0}

Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\DamageGuardX64.sys, Win32 error 0n2

Lenovo EE Boot Optimizer driver now:

Get rid of all those things. Follow the guide: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219576-clean-up-factory-bloatware.html

Free up the startup.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept the restart.
Let us know the situation after making the changes.
