new mouse pad opinion

alright i have an old rocketfish gaming mouse pad here is a image of what it looks like

so i felt it was time for some change(I'll probably keep it as my laptop mouse pad.)
i have narrowed my selection down to 2 mouse pads both are razer the invicta and destructor 2

i just wanted to see if anyone ones these and can give me some feed bad
to me i'm leaning more towards the destrutor 2 for a few reasons
1. price
2. it has a rough surface more for control which on my rocket fish is all i use anyway i don't like the speed side.

don't get me wrong the invicta is nice but for the extra money for that nice base and yeah i have 2 sides, but like i said i have dual sides now and i pretty much only use the control side.

so if anyone can give me some opinion and feedback. i much appreciate it. thank you

I didn't know folks were still using mouse pads. They were useful when mice had balls, but any optical mouse that can do 1000dpi can track on almost any surface.

Yeah, optical mice can operate on almost any surface but a good mouse pad is smoother and will not wear out mouse skates as quickly. I'm not a gamer but I find a mouse much easier to use, especially for fine movements, on a hard plastic surfaced mouse pad and I keep mouse tape (thin Teflon tape) on the mouse skates to make them a bit slicker and prevent wear to the feet themselves. I also apply furniture polish to the pad a couple times a week.

If you get right down to the brass bananas, mice seem to be a thing of the past. Touch pads and touch screens are catching up. However, once you have experienced a mouse with good skates on a really good mouse pad, you will never go back.

People with carpal tunnel syndrome or something similar will also appreciate the wrist rests than come with many pads. Mouse pads also prevent furniture scratches.
