new network name everytime i tether my phone's internet to my laptop

I'm using my phone to tether to my laptop using a USB cable to share my phone's internet connection..but every time i connect to the phone, it will prompt to ask if I should make "Network" as a work, home or public network. Why does it make a new network profile for the same hotspot? it will keep adding the network,now i have tons of network profile "network 2" "network 3" "network 4"..please help me.i want it to remember the network.

Fatinurain, welcome to the windows 7 forum.

The main reason that you get that prompt is that each time you connect your phone to your computer, the phone might have a different IP from the phone's isp.

You might just have to live with it and do what it says,.
