New PC Build Troubles

The original RAM sticks are Kingston. The new stick is PNY.

Surprising. I've always used Kingston with no problem. But there are always dud's. I would've gone with Crucial instead of PNY. Good you fixed it anyway.

Haha, I spoke too soon. With the kingston memory, everything started crashing again, but once I switched to the PNY RAM again, things worked immediately. I guess those two sticks are out of the game (I tried both too).

Thanks guys for spending your time to help me with this issue. :) I know right where to go if I have any future issues I can't figure out.

I would call Kingston (here in Huntington Beach, Calif) to have them help you test the RAM and replace it. They have some of the best tech support in their business and back their RAM for life.

I bought the ram sticks off ebay, and the seller is willing to exchange the defective sticks for new ones. Hopefully, they won't be compromised this time around.

Off Ebay? No wonder nothing works. You should' have stuck with reputable stores. Newegg would have given you a much better chance to get everything working first time, not some random seller.

Actually, most of the items I received from the sellers online got the items from newegg. The processor came directly from that store too. And I've bought parts off ebay before in the past, and I haven't had issues before. You just got to keep a sharp eye out for scams or cheap parts.
