PSU Buzzing

My PSU is making an unusual buzzing sound its a Coolermaster 700w silent pro its an electrical buz

Get a new one quickly and use you Pc as little as possible, ie, power off. Get a good brand, Corsair, Seasonic, Thermaltake higher end.

A bad PSU can cause other components to burn out starting with the motherboard.

yeah Buzzing isnt a good sign or electric snaps you can hear

Quickly follow the above advice and get a new PSU asap and make sure you have no component damage something like this would give voltage spikes and for sure fizzle your components dead

My psu has developed a loud buzzing noise, I have taken the safest route and aim to replace it, I was wondering what your recommendations would be on a new one in the same price bracket, I currently have a near dead Coolermaster 700w Silent Pro?

or should i just put the fault down to bad luck and get a replacement?

Corsair, Antec, or Seasonic is what I would look into.

A 650W should be good for your setup, or a bit larger depending what upgrades you may have planned.

Im am buying a new psu for my build (listed in specs) and was wondering if the above would be a suitable replacement for the Coolermaster 700w silent pro

This calculator could be helpful, but in reality I would look toward 700-1000 watts modular and that Corsair will outlive many other upgrades and expand with you for years. The PSU is the heart of a great system and spending extra here is just good common sense. imho !

Antec, ASUS, Corsair, Cooler Master, Enermax, OCZ, ThermalTake... they all are good brands XFX introduced there line PSU's as well but i dont know about them yet but they might be good i assume.

I would defifnitely avoid Cooler Master PSUs.

I don't know about that I use a coolermaster 700w extreme and has had no issues

Not everone will experience a bad faulty PSU you also have to think about they MASS produce these products even QC-quality -control can't catch everything ,I would just call it luck of the draw

I have heard many stories about other well known supplies ,I would just chalk it up as getting a bad egg and realisticly they can play out at anytime even if your not doing anything extreme

That's just my two cents though not edged in stone
