I have an old asus u45jc-a1 laptop. It has lot of problems like constant beeping and when connected to a monitor, it would many times monitor go to sleep. I tested this with several monitors and this happens with each monitor so i know its my laptop.

Anyways, i went and bought a new sager laptop mainly b/c i wanted a fast quad core laptop. I got the laptop and it is pretty nice. I didn't transfer anything from my old laptop to the new laptop. The only thing that i did however was i have a usb drive that i plugged into the new sager laptop b/c i have some documents there that i need to put it on my sager laptop. I never did this as i all i did was just plug the usb flash drive into the new laptop thus i dont have any files saved into my new laptop. Thus no documents, just a flash drive.

Recently i noticed that while using this new sager laptop, im having the same beeps just like my old asus laptop. This doesn't make sense at all b/c this laptop is brand new and i can't imagine it having problems like this early on. Also the beeps sound just the same like the asus laptops so i wonder if theres any coincidence to this. I had asked people in forums if i were to transfer documents from my asus laptop to this new sager laptop whether its documents or files, would there be any chance the new laptop would get corrupt files and then it might have similar problems like my asus laptop such as the beeping and connecting to a monitor and it randomly turning off. I was told no thats not even possible. But i didn't transfer any documents, i just used a flash drive that i had on old laptop on this one.

Another thing that has me very worried is in my old laptop, i know i had lot of bloatware and malware because when i visit sites such as say ebay, a bit later when searching other sites, i would see ads on ebay thus its like those tracking cookie i believe its called that does this for advertisements? Well recently i was on my new sager laptop and i noticed an adveristment for something i viewed such as on ebay... however i never viewed this item on my sager laptop. I viewed it on my asus laptop. This does not make any sense whatsoever.

Can someone tell me whats going on here? Why is my new sager laptop beeping so much just like my asus laptop? Another thing that has me very confused is why i did i see a few advertisements on my sager laptop like i do with my asus laptop?

Im thinking the advertisments on my sager laptop im seeing could be because im logged into my ebay acct ... however im not logged into the ebay account on my asus laptop. Thus when im checking ebay items on asus laptop im not logged in. But why does that item show up when im on my sager laptop sometimes such as that same item on ebay?

Look on first boot screen for BIOS's brand. If not given boot into BIOS setup to look for BIOS make. Then determine the Computer POST and beep codes. Report back.

It tells how to avoid consumer tracking ad-targeting in Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 where there are many other steps showing how to get and maintain a perfect install.:

Avoid spyware tracking cookies placing interest ads by Opting Out of Network Advertising. This will greatly relieve the banner ads which track your shopping habits.
If you're not ready yet to do a reinstall then at least Clean Up Factory Bloatware

First off let me say something that is very weird.

Right now im typing this on my old asus laptop. Previously in many of my posts... there would be words where its highlighted in blue such as you could click on it.

Example right now i have the same webpage this one opened on my sager laptop. I see the words monitors, reinstall and new computer in blue where you could click on it. Example you highlight it, it has an ad for Comtia jumpstart your career but when you highlight it, bottom shows www.sevenforums.com/

STRANGELY ENOUGH... i don't see this on my asus laptop anymore. And another VERY STRANGE THIS IS... my asus laptop hasn't beeped much at all lately.

Just to be sure run a full scan with Malwarebytes and SUPERAntiSpyware - Downloads
which I believe you already installed, but if not decline their Trial Version when you do.

Regularly check your Control Panel>Programs and browser Add-Ons for anything you did not install or are not using. If in doubt ask back here or google the listing, disable it until you know for sure.

Malwarebytes show no problems. Superantisoftware found 117 tracking cookies.

I have no idea how i have this much as all i done is visit the main sites to download and google and few computer sites like this one. I do check ebay and amazon though.

Also strangely enough... my asus laptop isn't beeping at all. That makes no sense. Whats strange is it seemed like once the sager laptop started beeping, the asus laptop never beep anymore and this is just very recently. Do you think theres any coincidence to this? Previosly my asus laptop beeps very much and it beeps many different ways such as beeping one at a time or beeping 2-3 times at once etc.

This sager laptop beeps once, then again then again but usually like 10 second or a bit longer after each one.

Im confused with the bios beep page you gave me. This sager laptop seems to beep one time only but these 1 beeps come once every 10 seconds it seems. Sometimes a bit longer and sometimes a bit faster. I don't however hear it beep beep even twice continously.

Just want change what i was saying in my earlier post but the beeps i have now are not the same beeps i have on my asus laptop. The sager only has 1 beep at a time but its very constant. Could be 1 beep, then 5 seconds it comes again or 10 seconds later or a bit later. But this beeping noise doesn't go away at all.

I typed this and i see

Could this be the reason?

I see theres a yellow exclamation point on october 29th on the graph and clicked on it

I see total of 11 critical events all of them show not working except that one windows that says not properly shut down

I did superantispyware again and now i see 112 items. I had 117 earlier and removed it.

Is there a reason this shows up again?

Few nights ago i posted on a forum asking a question in a macforum and it was with my asus laptop and it was related about

IPhone Skype Calling To the USA for American visiting Europe? - MacRumors Forums

A person private messaged me on how to fix this issue. He also posted in my thread and said sent you a pm. I dont click on ppls links they send me directly but when this guy sent me the link, i always just copy and paste it to the toolbar to see if its the actual link. Instead it shows api.viglink so i wasn't goign to click on it. Basically this person sent me a link for enabling google voice in hangouts to allow incoming calls. I then later on with that api.viglink there, i entered it accidentally b/c i forgot i had deleted the link to the toolbar. I then logged into my acct and couldn't fix this issue.

The thing was at that time, i then got worried b/c i wondered if that link could have been a virus. The first thing i immediately did was open my new sager laptop and plug the usb into it so i could see every password i have for my sites so i could log into most of them and then change the passwords immediately. I then changed my passwords for many of those many sites then changed the password for each site setting on the openoffice page.

I recalled at that time, i still didnt have any beeps on my new sager laptop. I believe it was the following day when i noticed a few beeps in my new laptop which got me a bit worried but i didn't think that much about it. It wasn't until today when i noticed i had tons of beeping on this laptop.

Do you think there is any chance that could have caused it or not? The thing is i read hackers can infect usb hard drives but the thing is when i clicked on that link, i still had lot of documents saved on that asus laptop such as passwords in my documents thats still there. Then when i thought about it for a while, i went on new sager laptop and change password for lot of sites. During this time however since i clicked on that link, i never had that usb flash drive in that asus laptop though. Thus i didnt have the flash drive on the asus laptop on that day it happneed. So if thats the case, then this couldn't have caused the beeping right?

Not sure if my previous post got deleted or not or maybe i didnt click submit.

But i googled usb flash drive virus and i notice that i have autorun.inf in it and that means most likely my flash drive is infected. So could that be a chance that this caused my laptop to have this beeping problem? Could a virus cause this beeping problem that im talking about on my sager laptop?

I think you should do some of the suggestions offered and not worry so much about "hackers".

I spoke to sager. They suggested me to open the laptop up bymyself. I have attempted this a while back with previousy laptops and almost broke one of them doing this. They had asked me if i felt comfortable doing it and i said not at all,

So that mean best to just do a clean reinstall of it just like dell xps 8100?

Heres another thing that im worried about. The usb i used to install the windows 7 home premium is in a 2.0 usb flash drive that has 4gb. I had bought a 3.0 usb flash drive and its 16gb. I couldn't install windows 7 using the 3.0usb and needed the 2.0usb.

The thing is both my usbs have that autorun.inf so that mean its probably infected. Im sure my old asus laptop is infected b/c of how slow it is and how those beeping and other issues such as connecting to monitor problems.

So how i do make sure that when i install windows 7 either of the 2 laptops i have, it would be safe? Dont i need to clean and wipe each usb first before doing this? The other issue is this. Even if i do this, when i download the windows 7 software again to put it on the usb, isn't it going to be still infected assuming my laptop is infected? Im not sure if im phrasing it right but i think you guys know what i mean?

Okay these are my options right now and i want to know which you think is the best choice for me.

1. Send the sager laptop back to them and have them do the repairs. Issue with this is this is going to take a bit of time such as i send it to reach them then they examine it then send it back to me so theres going to be lot of time used on this which i dont really like.

2. Do a clean reinstall myself and see if that will fix this beeping issue. I dont have anything important on this new laptop so that isn't a big concern as wiping any data.

3. Bring it to a computer repair shop and have them take a look and explain them my case.

Thoughts on this? Im strongly considering option 3 as that might be the more simpler but it will cost money solution. I mean would they be able to tell me pretty quickly if its something inside the computer and thus its an internal problem or if they say it could be a virus problem? I would also mention about my other asus laptop beeping and the usb thing and the clicking on someones link.

I mean could it be something as simple as the ram in my laptop probably isn't stuck correctly?

Also i want to mention another thing but not sure if it helps. But last year when my ssd got replaced by a friend who helped me, my laptop after a while couldn't turn on. I went to a computer shop and they found out it was b/c the ssd wasn't in place and they use some FOAM to keep it in place. Could that be a reason why my asus laptop beep? Thing is the foam inside the computer didnt look that good but no big deal b/c its inside the computer. Also i believe it was at least 6 plus months until i heard those beeps in the asus.
