New system crashing

Just finished doing clean install of win 7 pro after putting all my shiny new kit in and it keeps crashing with mostly these 2 modules.
Anyone got any ideas why and what I can do about please.

A memory management error usually indicates corruption... download memtest86 and let it run for at least 5 complete passes and post the errors...

Also, zip your dump files and upload them. They'll help debug.

I run memtest 2.11 (already had it gonna run 4.0 later) an that seemed to show errors.

Your .dmp file is reporting the same error... Memory Management .. that along with the fact that memtest is reporting errors, suggest that your ram is bad... remove all but one stick and rerun memtest ... continue with each stick until you narrow it down and replace the faulty stick(s)...

Don't forget to test each stick separately, and to repeat the test for each stick in each socket.

And just in case your wondering OCZ has a great RMA process and support. So they will take good care of you should it be a memory problem.OOps just noticed non US so I can't speak for support their, but if it's anything like here you will be pleased. Fabe

Have used OCZ RMA over here quite good too.. Only had it a week !!!
Right then adjusted the volts to correct settings, still same so I ran memtest with all 8 gb in errors straight away, took one kit out run again errors straight away again, put other kit in run a few minutes and errors again, just running single strip now erors within a few minutes so does that look like that all 8 gig is faulty ?? bit odd isn't it.
So looks like I will have get on to Overclockers RMA dept in morning. Only had it last Friday

Oh well 3 out 4 sticks picked up errors, so they are off to Overclockers UK under RMA

This can also have to do with the memory settings being used which OCZ Ram is very picky about.

From Newegg reviews these settings need to be used.

Pros: Big difference from DDR2-800 to the DDR2-1066, you can feel it when Vista first loads up and goes into your user account. With DDR2-1066 you wont feel the split second load time and execution you feel with DDR-800. This is also noticeable with program execution and "alt+tabbing" through programs. I bought 2 of these so I have 8Gigs... GG*~! *(internet gaming talk meaning Good Game or Game OVER) Cons: Going through forums and Google Searches, you'll find out that DDR2-1066 is not a normal speed unlike DDR2-800. DDR2-1066 is actually a buffed up DDR2-800, you have to make the adjustments in the Bios to make it run and recognize it as a DDR2-1066. You'll notice in the CPUID program that it's recognizing it as a DDR2-800 or PC2-6400. Just make sure you tweak the DDR2-1066 memory in the BIOS as CAS# Latency (CL) as 5.0 clocks, RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) as 5 clocks, RAS# Precharge (tRP) as 5 clocks, Cycle Time (tRAS) as 15 clocks, Bank Cycle Time (tRC) as 26 clocks, and Command Rate (CR) as 2T. my Cycle Time (tRAS) is auto configuring to 13 clocks, but thats ok, it's running fine. But last but not least, you have to up the Memory Voltage to 2.10 volts. If you are scared to do any of these, stick to DDR2-800 and your motherboard will auto sense it as DDR2-800 no worries. Until Manufacturers make a DDR2-1066 running at 1.8 volts, it will never be a standard speed.

In simple terms you need to set the timing to 5-5-5-15, command rate to 2T and memory voltage to 2.10 volts if you want the memory to run at 1066MHz. You may also need to set the memory to 1066Mhz manually.

OCZ always requires manual adjustments like these, this is nothing new at all. Just read the reviews from Newegg and you will see what it takes to make this memory run stable. Not to mention with your 8GB you may need a slight bump in ICH "north bridge" voltage to get all 8GB stable.

I see where yer coming from, but I altered the settings to what is recommended by OCZ and it was still the same and I know what u mean about upping the NB voltage with all 8 gig installed, BUT I was still getting errors when only ONE stick at a time was in the mobo. Anyway its winging its way back to Overclockers uk now, I'll report back when I get answer from them.
