So im an over thinker and no one i know has installed an SSD drive into their system, so i have some questions that i hope can be answered before i start.

Now i only really want WIN& ultimate X64 on this drive.

1.So i do have a 1tb HDD in my system which i plan on unplugging while installing windows, this is the correct thing to do am I right?
2. I install Windows is there anything i need to do or choose all the default "questions" it asks me, what about a partition do i want to partion the drive? Or will windows mostly handle all this?
3. No do i also on my SSD drive update window(yes thats the answer im sure) and do i update my drivers for everything like my video card?
4.once window is installed and the drivers update(if i do need to do that) can i put my HDD drive back in at that point and go into my BIOS and make sure it boots from the SSD drive?
5. Is it then safe to remove windows from my HDD and how do i go about doing that exactly ive always updated windows NEVER removed it lol, but id like to keep my other programs on there.
6. When im all done, the web browser, does it need to be installed on the SSD drive or can i run it off the Hdd

I do know about turning off the hibernation on the drive and will do that.

Besides going into the bios to change the boot drive is there anything else i need to do in there? I couldnt find anything that said i could change it to the Achi, or will i see that AFTER i install the SDD, BTW my MB is about 5 years old, but it does have a sata 3gb port :)

1. Yes, remove the other HDD before installing on the SSD. I've seen instances where Windows 7 will acknowledge a boot-sector, and skip over that step on the new drive, creating a dependency on the original HDD.

2.Yes, and you only need a partition if you WANT one or require one for some reason.

3. Update everything just like you would on a regular HDD, the only difference here is that you're utilizing flash memory instead of mechanical parts.

4.Yes

5. Put the original drive back in, booted into the new SSD, format the old HDD (you will lose ALL data, make sure it's either backed up or not important.)

6. Internet Explorer is the default browser in Windows. Any other browsers will have to be installed. If you're keeping windows on both drives, you'll have to select which one to boot into each time by default.
