I've been using this older tiny mouse on my laptop since I bought it and I decided to buy a new mouse. I bought a Gigabyte Optical Gaming Mouse. The first day I plugged it in, it installed the drivers and worked just fine for about 3 hours. After the 3 hours it randomly just stopped working. I unplugged it, tried different ports and even did a reboot(twice into safe mode). It worked once after the safe mode boot but stopped working again and hasn't worked since. I've plugged the new mouse into another computer and it worked fine. I also tested my old mouse on my laptop again and it works just fine. So I don't know if it's the mouse or the computer or what. Any help is appreciated.

Hi turtleboi99,

Please Click on start> type device>open device manager> Right click on Mouse and uninstall the same.

Then restart the system and let the driver load properly and check again. If the issue still persists then clean boot the system:

If the issue still persists then try the mouse in safe model to isolate the issue:

Keep us posted with the results so we can advise you further.

I apologize for the late reply. After trying your suggestions I sent the mouse asking to exchange it with a new one. After Amazon sent me the mouse everything has been working fine. So I guess I just had a faulty one. I appreciate the help and I apologize for the late reply.
