Hi everyone. I received my new card--the Geforce 9400 Gt DDR2 PCIe 2.0 card -- from Dell. Unfortunately, it doesn't have a s-video port so I can attach it to my tv. It has a dvi connector and a vga connector. I was thinking that I could buy a vga to s-video/rca adapter to send the signal to the tv. How do you know if the vga connector on the card is tv-out. I am going to upload a picture of the adapter.
Any help will be appreciated. deanie44:cry:

Hiya
You could always go straight from the DVI 2 HDMI via a converter ...

or most modern TV's have a VGA connector at the back, but then you have to run separate audio leads aswell

PooMan thank you for answering my post. my tv is a dinosaur. it has component ports, composite ports, and s-video port. I am trying to find a way to connect this graphics card to my tv. The video card has a vga connector. I want to buy the above adapter, but I do not know if the vga connector on the card is tv-out.
how can I find out if it is tv-out? deanie44

You might mention what make and model of 9400GT you have. (PNY?)

I'm not familiar with VGA ports that include a TV-Out signal, but I have the impression that it's unusual. If the documents for your card don't say that the feature is present, I'd assume that it is not there.

Your easiest solution at this time might be to return the card in favor of one with an S-Video port. (The above card is pictured with one at Dell, although it's not there on the particular model.)
