New wording of Windows Updates?

Is what used to be listed as 'Critical' now listed as 'Recommended'?

I would generally install the 'criticals' right away, then do more research of the others to decide on them,even if they were listed as 'recommend' but in looking at list of all updates installed was when I noticed that there are no criticals. Guess I haven't paid close attention since I went to Windows 7 from XP.

There were no Critical Windows updates in the September release (but that will change in the next couple of days!)
Critical updates are security only - and only when it requires no user input for a system vulnerability to be exploitable.

oops, just about started a new post then remembered to check my old ones. CRS

So when Update Tues. rolls around, any that have the word "Security" will be 'Critical' & should be the 1st ones to install?

Not necessarily.
Critical updates are always security ones - but Security updates are not necessarily Critical.

Having said that, the best advice I know is to install Security Updates first, then Important ones, leaving .NET ones until the end.
