hello
Sorry if I'm posting this to the wrong place, but I'm not sure what this would be classed under.
I would like to be able to change between the two computers connected to my KVM by clicking on an icon.
My Belkin KVM has a remote switch that should be on my desktop, but my two cats like to step all over it, so I have to keep the switch hidden. The KVM also accepts keyboard inputs to change computers, but I would really like to create a batch file/icon that I can click on to change between machines.
Unfortunately I have no experience with creating any sort of automation stuff, but I'm willing to learn; I just don't know where to look or what to look under.
Like most of the other KVM switches that I have used in the past, this Belkin switch will respond to two rapid <ScrLk> button presses and then either a single press of the <Up> or <Down> arrow buttons, then it will change over to the other computer.
And for some dumb reason, I would like to be able to force the switch over using a custom programmed icon.
Both machines are currently running 64bit Win 7 Pro(sp1); if possible I would rather not have to buy any extra software to make this happen.
thanks for your time everyone.
