I recently bought a new PC;

4.2GHz Processor
4gb RAM
ATI Radeon HD 5700 Series

And Windows 7 64 bit OS.

I have only had this for 4 days and have already had 5 blue screens, they have occurred with different programs running so i don't see a connection that way. The files that may help identify the problem are;

C:\Windows\Minidump\081710-17394-01.dmp
C:\Users\Max\AppData\Local\Temp\WER-5106926-0.sysdata.xml

and;

C:\Users\Max\AppData\Local\Temp\WER227F.tmp.WERInternalMetadata.xml
C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP

Not sure what else to put really, any help is appreciated.

Thanks

We really need the actual DMP file.

If you wish to have others assist you with your computer's BSOD symptoms, upload the contents of your "\Windows\Minidump" folder. The procedure:

* Copy the contents of \Windows\Minidump to another (temporary) location somewhere on your machine.
* Zip up the copy.
* Start your own thread in the "Crashes and Debugging" section of the forum and attach the ZIP archive to your post using the "paperclip" (file attachments) button.
* Briefly describe the problem history and circumstances in the same post. Somebody will attend to your query as soon as possible.

I would take it back.
Spending hard earned money on a new computer and having 5 BSOD's in 4 days I would be knocking at their doors at opening time the next morning. IMHO:mad:

Ok, there was only two dump files (I think i acidently removed the others earlier :S) I bought it from overclockers uk and am considering ringing up and returning it as i have had a lot of problems, want to see if its easily solved first though.

Hope this helps, thanks again.

Are you by chance overclocking and if so how much?

Um, no wonder you are BSOD'ing. Have you tried running it stock to see if it crashes before you haul it back?

I saw a few drivers in the DMP that needed updating, you might want to start there

Hmm, wouldn't say i know how to run it stock and i already updated my ATI drivers, does it look like a problem that is easy enough to fix?

Thanks

At startup press F2 quick (It's also depended on different system but probably F2) then Select an option similar to "restore factory settings".

Ok i'll do that now, it will still be possible to revert back to the overclock won't it? (May sound dumb but i've no clue honestly :D )

One way to find out is to wait and see if you get any more BSOD's. Usual overclock is way less than you are doing. If you set your bios and ram to stock speed that is the same as running default.

Yes, you can overclock again; but I wouldn't do it if you do not know how to overclock.

Well they build and overclock the computer and then ship it out, don't really wanna set it back to default incase it counts as modifying it and voids the warranty. Plus i wouldn't be able to overclock it again ^_^

Think i will just call them up in the morning and see what happens, thanks.
