Hi Guys,

I recently built my own computer. It was running great and still is, but its randomly crashed when using it. The first time I opened spotify and started a song and then it crashed, and this morning the same thing happened but with Borderlands 2. I started the game, not even loaded enough to get to the title screen, and the computer crashed. Here is my crash report, hopefully that will help.

Problem signature:
Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
Locale ID: 18441

Additional information about the problem:

BCP4: FFFFF8800430EFA0

If anyone could help me out that would be wonderful!

From what i can make of the files that you uploaded; to me it appears that you could have one or more bad ram modules. Especially if it just bluescreens like that while playing games. Usually thats most likely caused by either bad hardware, ram, or corrupt system or game files. Try removing all ram sticks/modules; then start with one and go one by one to see if you get any after a particular number of modules. The number that it bluescreens at could mean either that module is bad and or possibly the slot on the motherboard is bad.

Also have a pretty bad speaker setup which is a klipsch promedia 5.1 surround speaker setup with huge subwoofer and lg blu ray player/writer. Also a hp officejet pro 8600 plus wireless all in one and a logitech s7500 webcam.
Yep it points at the RAM mate so try what Matts has said and then if that doesn't solve anything I would advise you to do this

MEMTEST

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/105647-ram-test-memtest86.htmlthis one you will need to make a bootable disk set the BIOSto optical (or USB if preferred) boot the machine and let it run for at LEAST 8passes unless the errors come up straight away. Takes fair time to complete andsome leave it running overnight.

Thanks for the advise guys. The problem I see with testing the RAM is that I can't get it to crash reliably. It only happens randomly, any advise for that problem?

Well I told you this in my first post and I shall add if you have more than one stick and errors come up then be prepared to test each one separately AGAIN for at least 8 passes, and even in different slots!!

I would go as far as saying more than 8 passes to be honest and impatience is going to end with you stuck with a possible problem for lack of trying.:sarc:

I just ran the program for 10 passes over night, no errors came up. What should I do??

Where did you get the idea that this is a hardware failure? Looks like a software bug to me. Both dumps show the same error in e22w7x64.sys, Killer e2200 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller driver. Update or disable it. Report to the author of the driver if the bug occurs in the latest version.

Please advise the OP how to do what you suggest. If the LAN is disabled he has no internet connection.

According to Driver Reference Table - e22w7x64.sys the update site is Killer Gaming :: Solutions :: Embedded Ethernet, but here's a more direct link: Killer Gaming :: Support :: Driver Download Support.

Since you have built the computer yourself, you can probably check what network adapter you have from its package.

Create a system restore point (Create a restore point) before driver updates.

0xD1 (DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL) is an access violation (segfault), a typical software error.

There is no reason to suspect hardware if the faulting instruction address is always same and there's the same third party driver on the stack trace in each crash.
