Hi,

I got a Nexus 7 for my Christmas and was wondering what are the best apps to put onto it?

That depends entirely on what you want to do with the N7. What is it that you want to be able to do?

Check out Google Play and look thru the apps that are recommended by the editors as well as the apps recommended for tablets.

Built my first computer (8Mhz 8088cpu, 640K RAM, 20MB HDD, 2 360K floppy drives) in 1985 and have been building them for myself, relatives and friends ever since.
Im not really sure what I want to do. Im not much of a gamer. I will read books on it, so downloaded Kindle reader for accessing books i buy from there. I will probably watch movies on it, although watching on a small screen might seem a bit wierd to me. So, movies and books. Your right though, i should have a good look around google play.

I use mine mostly for web browsing and watching Hulu/Netflix. Although with a BT keyboard it would make a half decent mobile word processor.

Is it a good experience watching movies on the Nexus? Ive never watched a movie on a smallish screen before.

It's not bad. I was using my iPhone before so to me it's a step up. Of course if I am at home I will use my computer or TV, but if I wanna watch something in bed before I go to sleep, or I am not at home, it works great.

I have it paired with the Jawbone Jambox external speaker so the sound is boosted for me.
