Nidda Help on creative sound blaster live 5.1 SB 0220

And anyone giv me the driver for this soundcard please.....i nidda this driver i got find the forums but i dont really understand what they saying....

My RAM : 3GB
SoundCard : Creative Sound Blaster Live! 5.1 SB0220
Motherboard : i dont really know my motherboard because it have changed by the tecnicalman
Processor : 2.8GHZ
Windows : WINDOWS 7 ULTIMATE x32Bit

Can anyone give the driver which can work properly properly!!! please please please

I think you need to use the Creative software auto update near the bottom of this page.

chev65 that won't do him any good as Creative declared that card EOL a couple of years ago, and there are not and will not ever be Windows 7 drivers for it. The only chance he has for drivers for it is this,

Those are the Daniel K drivers for audigy live. I'm using his drivers also for both of my EOL Audigy 2zs's.

The problem with those is that they don't work consistantly with more than 2GB memory and the Op is using 3GB. You can read the responces there on the page and they don't look too good.

I had to use the Daniel K drivers on my old outdated SB audigy 2zs which was also declared EOL long ago. They work much better than the Win 7 Creative ones which had that terrible static sound.

Your 2ZS may be EOL, but at least it is still receiving updates (albeit slowly) for 7 and Vista.

Regarding the more than 2GB of ram issue, it is a straight up driver limitation and enver get fixed unless someone wants to try and reverse engineer the drivers and add the support.. You have to consider how old that card is and when the drivers where written, 2GB was considered a massive amount of ram (not too mention how much it cost back then).

I acctually tried out this card really well.

I tried ALL drivers for it on Windows 7 RTM Ultimate. Only driver that worked was kXproject one. It had all speakers and worked nice.

Tho kXproject drivers that you can use on Windows 7 are BETA atm you can use them no problem.

Yup, and they even have 64bit and 32bit as of late. Very good sound, it's what I use and I've never been happier.

Google KX Drivers, they are a godsend for certain creative cards. Yours is partially supported, but I'm guessing stereo should work crystal clear. I don't know if you are wanting 5.1, but it might be working just see what happens.

Actually the updated drivers from Creative simply do not work,...as per usual with Creative support. I consider non functioning drivers the same thing as having zero support. :sarc:

In fact the only ones that work and have creative support are the ones made by Daniel K, but creative forced him to take out all the sound adjusting functions making them nearly worthless in my opinion. Once again, zero support.

I've been doing this a long time, been there done that, years ago in fact, back when Vista first came out and as per usual once again had zero support for my Audigy 2ZS. If not for Daniel K. we would all still be in that boat, I remember the entire blow out at the creative forums and witnessed it all live. So you can probably spare on the history about these drivers. I know all about it.

In the mean time I'am using the torrent I found hosted by Daniel K. These drivers work perfectly and also have full function on all sound adjustments, EQ everything working flawlessly. Perhaps you weren't aware of this fact?

Most of his drivers can be found in the non stripped down versions by looking for the torrent. The ones you posted are some BS generic stripped down Daniel K drivers which are the only ones that Creative would let him post on their site.

it still not working just old drivers are workng and front speakers giveing sound but mic is working its ok wtih kx drivers mic not working and just center speaker giveing sound

what a ashame need to be a good company creative but look cant write easy driver for it

i have SB0220 and i sent email to creative and they wrote me use older version of ur operation system .They try to say creative company cant write a new drivers for windows 7 our old products are not supporting windows 7 im asking this question is it a new game ? new sound technologys for one operation system ok if it will be at windows vista i can accept vista problems but windows 7 ??? i dont think its a problem for it how it can be my audio card is not supporting windows 7 profeesssioan sound effects what a stupid idea... and still not any driver is working good for windows 7

İ think creative trying to say we are so bad company and cant support one our product just we need to write on new driver but we are so lazy we like to earn money but we dont like to support...

i have got the same sound Card a creative sound blaster 5.1 works brilliantly with XP & have hap it for many years, as soon as I tried SB Live! series Support Pack 1.5 (08/09/2009) with windows 7 Home premium It CRASHED big time so to all you poor souls with creative sound blaster 5.1 cards we are doomed to either throw them out & to buy New all because the sound card is OLD in this day & age that is tragic. A great working bit of kit is now defunked im off to buy a usb devicecry:
