No 5.1 Sound

I installed windows 7 and installed the latest driver from realtek,i have realtek ALC861. In the Realtek HD audio manager it shows the 5.1 and when i test it there is a sound from each one of my speakers but in winamp it playes music as 2.1 and when i watch a movie in VLS its the same, i have no sound from center,RR and RL speakers/ what shoul i do?

Unless the source is 5.1 all you will get is stereo/2.1, without using some kind of speaker fill (should be a setting in the Realtek control panel for this).
