Hey everyone, I've removed some services and applications and I reduced my usage by about 130mb of ram but is 800mb fairly normal for a laptop running Windows 7? If not what can I do to reduce this even more?

Windows 7 Home Premium32bit
That might be a little bit high. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium on my netbook. I have Firefox w/4 tabs, AIM, MSN, and MSE all running, and my combined usage is at about 800 MB. Unless you're really low on RAM though (meaning under 2 GB), I wouldn't worry about it. Windows handles your RAM properly.

You want your RAM to be used.

Turning off services is counterproductive, just as tweaking Windows 7 will work against you. It is already perfectly tweaked and balanced, as those of us who beta tested it for over a year discovered when one-by-one the old tweaks and service edits became unnecessary.

Try it untweaked and see.
