No automatic DST correction...

My W7 pro x64 does not manage to automatically correct for DST.

Here in Sweden, daylight saving time came into effect on Sunday March 28, at 02:00. Today, turning on my laptop, to my surprise the clock is an hour off, still showing winter time.

I have W7 set to automatically adjust for DST. I have the correct time zone set (UTC+1). The Date and Time dialog tells me it has synchronized with time.windows.com today (March 29) at 09:38, but the time is one hour off. Current time shows 09:59, but should really be 08:59.

Anyone else seeing this?

PS The Date and Time dialog seems to be aware that DST is in effect here in Europe. It correctly tells med that DST "ends on October 32, 2010, at 03:00. The clock is set to go back 1 hour at that time".

What time is it in Sweden now? By my reckoning, you are 1hr ahead of UK time. Here it is 12-30 PM, so your time should be 1-30 PM (13-30).

Do you actually have the correct time zone selected? There are a number of zones that are UTC+1, but the one that you require is Amsterdam, Berlin, Bern, Rome, Stockholm, Vienna.

Thanks for the reply... Yes, I have the correct time zone. I have everything set up correctly, no question. And yes, we are one hour ahead of UK, that's what UTC+1 means.

I had to adjust the time manually, it did not adjust itself. Come October we'll see if it works...

Note, I have (on the Date and Time dialog) the "Notify me when the clock changes" checked, but no notification ever came.

I am in the NY area, using Windows 7. I have mine set to notify. Never received a notification, but DST was set automatically, when the time came. Above the box that you checked, notify, does it show that time will change automatically for DST?

Do you have KB979306 installed? Its an update MS released in Feb that "changes the time zone data to accommodate daylight saving time (DST) changes in several countries. This update also includes other DST-related changes, time zone-related changes, and settings-related changes."

Above the box that you checked, notify, does it show that time will change automatically for DST?

Yes, as I mentioned above, it knows that DST will end in October, and that "the clock is set to go back 1 hour at that time".

Do you have KB979306 installed?

Yes, it was installed already in February, it seems.
