Windows XP-32bit > 7-64bit

I have now spent many hours now on this and this is the latest error message i get after redownloading and going through all this malarky. I am getting very frustrated and heartly sick of MS. They are every example of a monopoly for the economist and will be for years. It is an absolute disgrace that they never even got 10 students to try and download when they uploaded; it's just basic. The money I have spent buying it have been long exceeded at a personal cost in time. I feel cheated.

Can someone tell me where I can get a proper working download of Windows 7 64-bit that just installs properly? I know you can't post it in the forum, but if you could PM it me that would be great.
asking that question could get you banned....
are you trying to do an upgrade or a clean install?

Ok -deleted it. I don't agree with piracy and buy all my MS stuff, but if I have paid for something and I don't get it then that is an illegality too.

At the moment I am doing an upgrade, my files and stuff are on my laptop and I've just rebooted the computer and using the disk to load windows.

I'm sure there are a lot of people downloading the new iso. Keep trying, or try downloading later tonight when less people are online.

No device drivers were found when I upgrade from a vista 32-bit Operating System to the 64-bit version of Windows 7. Could anyone help me here? It seems the thread hasn't been solved. Thank you.

I'm new on this. Sorry for not reading the instructions.

Although I'm registered my Mac on the forum, I am having problems with my PC:

HP Pavilion tx2110us
AMD Turion (tm) 64 X2 2.10 Ghz
3GB Ram
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit OS

Could anyone help me here?

No device drivers were found when I try to upgrade from a Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit OS to the 64-bit version of Windows 7 Professional.

I first downloaded the image file from the 64 bit Win 7 and burnt to a DVD. Then booted and start the installation until got stucked on the above "no device drivers" message. Is there anything I should've done before? I am sure all the vista drivers are updated because I checked all the updates. Thank you.

Should I update the drivers I have on Vista 32 bit now for Win 7 64 bit? Is this going to solve my initial problem with the installation process? Thank you.

Ok, I got that from previous research. So I tried a clean install and during the installation I received the "no device drivers" message. I had to remove the DVD and went back to the Vista OS.

You need to format the HD first.

Ok. I don't mind doing that since I have all back ups, and don't want to go back to vista. But sorry for asking, could you explain me why I have to format the HD? Is that necessary? My copy of the Windows 7 is an upgrade, a copy of an image file I have downloaded from my university vendor. Thanks.

You can upgrade from 32 to 32, 64 to 64. but not upgrade 32 to 64, or downgrade 64 to 32.

And formatting the HD will allow this 32 to 64 upgrade?
