Solved No disk space

I have a Dell Aspiron laptop that came with the recovery partition on drive C and the main drive as drive D. Needless to say, the C drive partition is small with no room left. It also has a couple of programs in it that I couldn't force into drive D. Now the problem is that Windows 10 wants to load into drive C but there isn't enough room. The D drive has over 350 GB of free space. Is there a way to force the Windown 10 download into the D drive or is there another fix?

You could try re-aranging the partitions you have to give the space you need - simply reduce the size of the one partition and add the released space to the system partition I have a 256 GB SSD but around 128 to 150 GB total should be OK)

I suggest the free Partition Wizard CD (as you will be working on system partition )

I don't know if that would work because the Windows 7 program is on drive D. This new Win 10 would be updating it so I think it would have to be on the same drive. What I think I need is a way to have the update go to Drive D instead of drive C.

Something ODD here.
Dell put the OS on C, D is usually the data drive AND recovery is usually on a hidden drive.

What makes you believe that Windows is on D rather than C?

I don't see anything unusual or wrong about your Disk Management picture other than the fact that C is nearly full.

You need to rob space from D and give it to C.

Partition Wizard can do that.

What does Windows Explorer show as the folders on the D partition? It has about 32 GB of something. What is that something?

Get a bigger drive. For much less than $100 you can get a bigger (and faster) drive. You'll be glad you did.
