No display after building a new computer

So I went and wired the computer myself. Tried the beep test.
No results.

No beeps were made. No display was shown nothing seems to be working. I am thinking they fried the board or it is faulty.
They have contacted the store they said to bring it in.

They were trying to build it on the carpet for the last 2 days. They were not grounded and I think maybe they shocked the board.

the actually chances of static discharge affecting components is about as likely as winning the lottery 2 weeks on the trot.

personally id point the finger at someone forgetting to plug the 4/8 pin connector into the pci power port on the top left of the motherboard. commonly missed with these exact results

You may want to look up the user comments on newegg.com regarding this specific board. There are numerous comments regarding the video/monitor.

My suggestion if you are sure the separate cpu power cable is plugged in, is to take the board back. I too doubt that assembling it on a carpet (which I would not advise) would cause this kind of an issue, especially in light of the user comments.

Let us know how it turns out.

It happened to my brother on the first PC he built. We still make fun of him for it.

Remove everything that is not critical to starting it.
Remove HDD, one stick of ram left, no graphics card just on board video (if available)

Does the bios start then?

Sorry for the delayed response.
I have tried all combinations. Everything in, everything out, 1 ram, 2 ram. Nothing starts. No beep codes, nothing displays at all.
I think the Mobo is not going to work so its going to be taken back.

Per the consumer comments on Newegg.com regarding the Asus B85-M motherboard's video, I'd definitely suspect the motherboard, especially given everything else you tried. At least 1 of the 12 commenters seemed to have a similar video issue as you. See below.
