Hi. So, I crashed Windows 7 Pro (doing something not recommended). I had to take laptop along with a couple of other, better, laptops I "killed" for diagnosis. I was told the OS had gotten corrupted and was provided with Windows 7 Pro installation disk to reinstall the OS. I think, in an effort to be helpful, a roommate messed with reinstall and no drivers were loaded, so there's no wife. My other laptops are in for repairs so I'm left with a 2nd generation Kindle Fire. Is it possible to download the drivers to the Kindle and then transfer to laptop? In checking out the connectivity between the Kindle and the laptop, the laptop did not acknowledge a connection.

If you still have the installation disc, the generic MS drivers for your wifi are on there, and once installed they should update automatically.

note as its a reinstall there will be 200+ updates from MS, long proceedure 2 hours+
