No HDMI Input option for Sound!! AHHH!!!

I also went over to the realtek website and downloaded sound drivers(ones for 7/vista x64 latest) and still nothing. So i'm in a total jam!
Have you actually tried the ones from the support page for your laptop in compat mode? - Conexant High-Definition Audio Driver HP Pavilion dv6000t

You also said you've lost you've lost your Snipping Tool somehow? I'm not sure if this is all you need, but you can still use youre Print Screen key and copy into Paint if not...

You put an ONKYO receiver inbetween laptop and TV, yes.
Can you connect Laptop directly to TV?
Are you sure that the laptop's HDMI port is wired into the laptop's sound card?
Have you looked at the TV's menu and looked at the sound options?
Whats the make of the laptop?

I use a Sony Bravia LCD as a monitor. I have two separate puters attached to same monitor, using the different inputs. The pc input, the HDMI input. Separate sound connects for both inputs.
Try connecting laptop vid card directly to TV and then clone it, connect sound card to receiver. I have done this, it worked. Or connect sound card to TV and then use TV sound output and connect to receiver.
HDMI is just a cable, with sound copper and vid copper in same cable. What would you do if the laptop had just a DVI, S-video or RGB out?

I have a ASUS CM5571 Desktop PC. And I have a Sony BDV-E870 Bluray Home Theater System. I just bought a HDMI cord to connect at least one thing together lol. But what is the best combination? I wanna have my Xbox 360, computer and Olevia HDTV to all be connected to it, but I have no idea how to do this. Any help?
