no internet connection

My new pc with Windows 7 will not connect to the internet. With my new Essential6 wifi.
It connects to the router. I have another laptop which is directly wired and I tried my pc with that wire and it connected no problem. I have tried the usual disconnecting the router but to no avail. I have been told that windows 7 has its own inbuilt security but not being a computer buff I do not know.

Were you trying to connect your new PC via wired and not wireless?

Please provide an ipconfig /all output for review:
Click on Start => type cmd press enter (run as Admin). From the black screen, type the word ipconfig /all and press enter. Right click on the black screen or Command prompt then choose Select All and Paste the results here.

Are you seeing any signal level in your system tray? If so right click on it and try selecting troubleshoot problems and see what comes up.
