I got home today and booted up my Dell e1505 Laptop to discover that it has decided my wireless card does not exist. Doesn't show up in Bios or device manager. I tried installing the drivers to no avail, so if anyone can help please try.

Edit: 1390 Dell Wireless card

I tried doing what you said, loading Bios Defaults. Nothing, the bios and device manager still read that the wifi device does not exist. It is a laptop so I cant really reconnect things if they may have been dislodged.

Edit: It is also completely possible that it is dislodged or damaged, Its an old laptop

Honestly... I'm sorry to say this but the fact that it isn't registering in the BIOS (Incidentally do Wireless cards normally register in the BIOS? If not then ignore this next statement) suggests a hardware issue. Its not Windows because if the BIOS isn't telling Windows that it is there then as far as Windows is concerned it isn't there.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news

hey compacker don't get upset 4 dis. Hardware problems are really very critical to detect.
u can flash ur bios 4 once. i mean to say that just open the jumper kept in 1-2(default) near ur battery and after 2-3 sec put it in 2-3 connection and again try to optimize ur bios(mean to say that load the defaults). it can be done very easily if u hav this problem with ur desktop but since its a lappi so be conscious and see if u can do it.
